Jared, our 2nd son (the one with the blonde/red hair) was born in September of 2006.  Labor day took on a whole new meaning for us then!! He was a few days early and Mommy and Daddy were not ready for him to be early.  Mom and Dad had been doing a lot of cleaning and rearanging around the apartment. They had been going to bed pretty late and pretty tired. It was on Sunday night around midnight that Claudia started having contractions. Tom went to sleep (no surprise there) and Claudia tried to go to sleep since she had been up for almost 24 hours.

When Claudia could not stand it much longer she woke up Tom and they went to drop off Joseph at Tom's parent's home and then went to the hospital. Claudia tried to push Jared out, but being that by then she had been up for over 24 hours, she was too tired and ended up having a C-Section. No worries, Jared was healthy and very cute of course. He had pretty light hair and at the time even his eyes looked light. Tom thought Jared was going to have his eyes, but they turned brown.

Jared is also very energetic. He loves keeping Mom and Dad busy. He is a climber and will try and climb onto anything that is on his way. One of the phrases he likes to say most is "what you do do?" Which is "what did you do?"
